Terms of use

1. Purpose

These terms govern use of the acropole-prestige.com website and the ACROPOLE mobile app, and the orders placed through them with ACCROPOLE PRESTIGE("ACROPOLE"), a bakery and pastry shop based in Bastos, Yaoundé, Cameroon.

Creating an account or placing an order means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2. Your account

Ordering online requires an account. You undertake to give an accurate phone number: it is used to verify your identity by one-time code, and it is how we reach you about a delivery.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for orders placed from your account. Tell us without delay if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may delete your account at any time from the app. We may suspend an account in case of abuse, plainly fictitious orders, or repeated non-payment.

3. The products

Our products are made by hand. Photographs are indicative: the appearance, size and decoration of a product may vary slightly from one batch to the next. For a made-to-order cake, the details are agreed when you order.

Availability shown reflects the day's stock and can change during the day. If an item runs out after you order, we offer a replacement or refund that item.

Allergens

Our products are made in a kitchen that handles, among others, gluten, eggs, milk, tree nuts and sesame. We cannot guarantee the absence of traces. Tell us about any allergy before ordering: we will tell you frankly what is possible.

4. Orders

An order is formed when you confirm it and ACROPOLE accepts it. A minimum order amount and delivery fees may apply: both are shown before payment.

Prices are in CFA francs (XAF), all taxes included. They may change at any time; the price that applies is the one shown when you confirm.

An order can be scheduled in advance. Made-to-order cakes and catering require a lead time that we agree together.

5. Payment

Payment is made by MTN Mobile Money or Orange Money and, where the shop allows it, in cash on pickup or delivery. Mobile Money transactions are handled by a licensed provider: ACROPOLE neither receives nor stores your PIN.

Until payment is confirmed by the provider, the order is not committed. If payment fails or is abandoned, the order is cancelled at no cost.

6. Delivery and pickup

We deliver across Yaoundé. Fees depend on distance and are shown before payment; delivery may be free above a certain amount, stated in the app.

Stated times are estimates. Traffic, weather or exceptional demand can extend them; we keep you informed by notification.

You must be reachable on the number given and present at the agreed address. If delivery fails for that reason, the order may be treated as handed over and remain payable — fresh products cannot be put back on sale.

For store pickup, you are notified as soon as the order is ready. Products are held until closing time on the agreed day.

7. Cancellation, complaints, refunds

You may cancel an order from "My orders" as long as it is not well into preparation or already out for delivery. A made-to-order item already started can no longer be cancelled free of charge.

Perishable goods: our products are foodstuffs prepared to order. There is therefore no right of withdrawal after delivery.

That said, if an item is missing, damaged or not as ordered,tell us the same day: we replace or refund that item. Refunds are made by the same means as the payment.

8. The app and the site

We do what we can to keep the service available, without guaranteeing absolute continuity: maintenance, a provider outage or a network failure can interrupt it. We cannot be held liable for indirect loss arising from unavailability.

You may not attempt to reach the service other than through the intended interface, extract its content in bulk, or disrupt its operation.

9. Intellectual property

The name ACROPOLE PRESTIGE, the logo, and the texts, photographs and graphic elements of this site and the app are protected. Reproduction without written permission is prohibited.

10. Personal data

How your data is handled is set out in ourprivacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be amended. The version that applies to an order is the one in force when it is placed. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Cameroonian law. In case of a dispute we first seek an amicable solution: contact us through the channels on theContact page. Failing agreement, the dispute falls to the competent courts of Yaoundé.
